Top 10 list on the countries you can visit in Europe without having to go on a plane.
I’m sure everyone loves to go on holiday, but this isn’t the case for someone who’s too scared to fly or has a phobia of it! And it can become a bit of a nuisance if you still would really like a break away from reality, but sometimes it can be hard to find anywhere to go without having to take a trip on a plane.
Therefore I’ve put together a Top 10 list of countries that are close enough to the UK to visit by using another method of transport to get to them, plus some of them have the most beautiful cultures that you should go and explore!
10. Jersey and Guernsey
If you don’t want to travel too far then I’d suggest that Jersey or Guernsey is an ideal place for your holiday, not only do they have some of the most gorgeous sandy beaches, but they’re also close enough to France that you get great weather, and you could even take a day trip over there! Instead of flying to Jersey or Guernsey you can easily hop onto a ship instead that will take you there, although the journey might take a tad longer!
9. Denmark-Copenhagen
Copenhagen has a lot to offer, especially if you like history
Plus, you can also take a quick trip over to Sweden from here by just using the Oresund bridge, so this way you could visit two countries at once, or even just take a day trip over there!
8. Belgium – Brussels
Belgium really is one of the prettiest countries to visit in spring and summer time, not only is Brussels a great city for a spot of shopping, but it’s also great for chocolate too! And if you decide to visit Brussels make sure you take a trip to Planete Chocolat, as it’s the best chocolate factory around!
7. Norway

Germany certainly does have a lot of history, from the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, when West and East Germany was finally reunited, to the whole history of both the world wars. However, history isn’t the only thing that Germany has to offer, as there are a whole variety of attractions you can see as well, like Neuschwanstein Castle, which was used as an inspiration for the Sleeping Beauty castle by Walt Disney.
5. France-Brittany
If you really want a beach holiday then Brittany has a lot to offer! Plus, if you really don’t want to travel that far then this could be more ideal for you, as you can get a ship over there from Portsmouth, Plymouth and many other locations, depending who you book with of course!
