A man who sneaked backstage and disguised himself as a police officer at the new Harry Potter show to get personal details of children is facing prison.
23- year old Reece Scobie from Perth, Scotland, attended the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child show in Soho, London, attempting to gain 2 child stars personal information it was heard in Westminster Magistrates Court today.
Prosecutor Darren Watts told the court that Scobie had dressed himself in a full Police Officers uniform, while he attended the show. He then went backstage and asked the child stars for their email addresses, house addresses and phone numbers.
Darren Watts said that Scobie had also booked to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child show for a continuous 14 nights, while staying at Z Hotel in Soho using false names.
Judge Turner said Scobie used false names to cover his trail.
Scobie got sentenced to 8 months in prison and 10 months under probation supervision.
Judge Turner then told the court that Scobie is showing signs of an increasingly dangerous predatory behaviour.
Darren Watts stated that Scobie has also been in prison for possessing indecent images and videos of children on his laptop back in January 2016.
Scobie got full credit for pleading guilty to two other crimes he committed, which involved him failing to inform the police of his change of address and failing to notify bankcards to the police.
