BOSEMANI RAINBOWFISH 8-10CM A stunning display can be created in a large planted aquarium with a sizable group of Boeseman’s Rainbowfish. These fish have a unique coloration, with a combination of blue and yellow/orange, making them a sight to behold as they swim through the plants. It is recommended to keep Boeseman’s Rainbowfish in groups of at least 6 individuals, and the more, the better. To accommodate their needs, the tank should be at least 4ft long, with dense planting along the back and sides, leaving an open swimming area in the center. In their natural habitat, these fish thrive in areas with dense vegetation, so slightly alkaline water is preferred, although they can adapt to various conditions. It is important to provide clean, well-filtered water at all times and use tight fitting coverslides to prevent them from jumping out of the tank. Juvenile Boeseman’s Rainbowfish may appear less vibrant compared to the stunning adults, which often leads to them being overlooked in stores. However, once they settle into a planted aquarium, their colors will start to develop, revealing their true beauty.
