Pulcher Cory 5-6CM (Brochis) The Pretty Cory originates from the Rio Puras, a tributary of the Amazon River in Brazil. This tranquil species is perfect for a mature community aquarium and should be kept in groups of five or more because of its shoaling behavior. Unfortunately, it can be somewhat susceptible to barbel infections or erosion, making it crucial to keep these fish on a soft sand substrate (instead of gravel where waste can accumulate out of sight) to safeguard these sensitive sensory organs. Regular upkeep, including frequent partial water changes, is essential to maintain the health of these fish. Ensure there are plenty of shaded spots created by driftwood, rocks, and dense plantings. Other peaceful species like smaller pencilfish, tetras, and rasboras are great tankmates, and their presence as dither fish in the midwater will encourage the Corys to come out more often. Corydoras can breathe air through their intestines, so it’s important to leave a small gap between the water surface and the cover slides, allowing the fish to rise to the surface to take in air. They may do this several times a day. Picture is of the fish in stock, if require any more please get in. touch all sizes are approx
