Like its relatives, it showcases remarkable color-changing abilities, with males displaying striking red hues around their abdomen. To thrive, the Indonesian Dragon Micro Goby prefers a well-planted or richly decorated aquarium with moderate to high water flow. It also needs a substrate of soft sand or smooth gravel, allowing it to bury itself when desired. Initially, it should be fed tiny meaty frozen or live foods, but it can often adapt to high-quality dry foods over time. While not a schooling fish, it can be kept in groups, providing delightful interactions to observe. It’s essential to remember that this goby is completely scaleless, so exercise caution when administering medications in its tank. Some treatments may require a reduced dosage for scaleless species.
