Movie Review on Hollywood’s next blockbuster: Jurassic World.
Well if you’ve seen all the previous Jurassic Park movies then this one is a must see for you! The last movie – Jurassic Park 3 was filmed in 2001, so you can imagine the dramatic graphic change within the past 14 years, but I won’t spoil it for you as you should see the amazing use of graphics that was used to create the variety of dinosaurs yourself!
Even though this movie is classed as Jurassic World, you still get to see quite a few parts of the old Jurassic Park in this film too, as Zach (played by Nick Robinson) and his brother Gray (played by Ty Simpkins) stumble across it while trying to hide from the new genetic cross breed dinosaur, known as the ‘Indominus Rex’.
This dinosaur has been made purposely in a lab, so there is a bigger and better attraction at Jurassic World, enabling them to gain more visitors, therefore more profits. The Indominus Rex is part Tyrannosaurus Rex, but I won’t tell you the other mix of it, as it will spoil the movie for you!
However, I guess you’ve guessed by the trailer that not all goes too well with this new hybrid! Seeing as the scientists in the lab have made it intelligent as well, so it is able to camouflage it’s own thermal and infrared output, therefore no one is able to find it!
Plus, at one stage it also manages to take out it’s own tracking system, so no one is able to find it’s location, as you can imagine it is a slightly sticky situation to be in, seeing as the park is still open to the public at this stage!
Even though it does have a little bit of a slow start (but I guess they’re just setting the scene), it does kick off eventually, reaching a climax that won’t disappoint you!
Some scenes can be quite terrifying at points, especially when there’s pretty much a battle between the Indominus Rex and Tyrannosaurus Rex, however, the Mosasaurus manages to end this one!
However, it isn’t always about dinosaurs of course, it’s about the acting as well! And I must say Ty Simpkins really is a superb little actor especially as he’s only 13, not only does he act amazingly in Jurassic World, but he also does in his other movies, like Insidious. Plus, Chris Pratt also stars in the movie, which really is quite a delight!
This movie is really one you can’t afford to miss in the cinema! Not only is it the best graphics I’ve seen in a long time – the dinosaurs seem out of this world – but it’s action packed most of the way through, and it even has quite a few good twists! It really will keep you on the edge of your seat! Lets just hope there’s going to be another one made after this.
