Description The stepper motor to ball screw coupler attaches the drive motor to the ball screw. It allows for a tiny amount of misalignment without binding. When received from the manufacturer, we increase the depth of the slot in the ball screw to allow for a greater clamping range. The 4824 and 5624 may have a helical spring type coupler, which have a possibility of breaking. They are replaced with the EC30 type of coupler. The 4824 uses a 1/2″ on the motor side and 3/8″ on the ball screw side. All other models use 3/8″ on both sides The EC30 coupler is 35mm (1.378″) long by 30mm (1.181″) diameter. It utilizes 2 allen screws requiring a 3mm allen wrench.
