Banded Archerfish 6-7CM The archerfish has a body that is moderately elongated and compressed from the sides, featuring a pointed snout that gives it a slender appearance when seen from above. Its dorsal and anal fins are positioned towards the back of the body, and the tail has a gently rounded edge. The coloration of the back ranges from yellowish-green to brown, while the sides are a light gray that transitions to silver. This fish displays four to six vertical black bars along its body, with the first bar crossing the eye and the last one located just before the tail. The final bar extends to the back of both the dorsal and anal fins, which is why it is often referred to as the Banded Archerfish. Its eyes are notably large, and the mouth is angled slightly upward.
