Redline Rasbora 2-3CM The Redline Rasbora is typically found in shallow, tannin-stained peat forest streams and swamps that feature dense marginal vegetation. This fish is a peaceful species that prefers to shoal in the mid to upper levels of the water; keeping them in groups of at least 6 is recommended, although 10 or more is preferable. A mature tank that is heavily planted would be perfect for displaying this species, as their colors become more vibrant when they are settled in a well-planted environment. Choosing a dark substrate and background, along with some delicate driftwood and shady caves, will also aid in their acclimatization. Ideal tankmates should be of similar size and temperament, thriving in the same soft, acidic conditions; good companions include other small rasboras, small barbs, pencilfish, and kuhli loaches.
