Chocolate Kuhil Loach 5-6CM

$14.83 $27.58
Chocolate Kuhil Loach 5-6CM Kuhli Loaches are fascinating fish with an eel-like shape, featuring a long dorsal and ventral profile. They are easily recognized by their distinctive orange and black stripes, which can vary in brightness from subtle to striking, depending on the individual. Generally, Kuhli Loaches are on the smaller side, with most growing to about 4 inches in length. These lively and inquisitive fish love to explore their tank, often checking out any objects they find. One of their unique behaviors is called ‘bobbing,’ where they rhythmically swim to the surface and then sink back down. This action is believed to serve as a form of communication among them. Typically, you’ll find them at the bottom of the tank. Kuhli Loaches are omnivorous and thrive on a well-rounded diet that includes both meaty and plant-based foods. They enjoy live foods like freshly hatched brine shrimp, black worms, daphnia, bloodworms, and other small invertebrates. You can also offer freeze-dried or frozen versions of these foods, along with sinking pellets and bottom-feeder tablets. Additionally, they appreciate vegetables such as zucchini, cucumber, and blanched spinach or lettuce, which can be provided using a vegetable clip or feeder block. Offering a variety of foods is essential to ensure they receive all the nutrients necessary for their health. These loaches are also known for their scavenging habits, particularly when it comes to snails, which they find quite tasty. Their underslung mouths make them well-suited for tackling hard-shelled prey like snails. Not only do snails provide a good source of protein, but they also contribute calcium and other minerals. If you’re looking to control snail populations in your community tank, adding Kuhli Loaches can be an effective solution. However, keep in mind that if you have prized snails you want to keep, they may not be the best tank mates for these loaches. Must. be kept in groups off 6 If you need real photos instead of the stock photo, please feel free to reach out to us.
